Christmas Chicken

Happy Birthday to Lloyd! Yay!

Yesterday morning during church , the Sunday school kids did a Christmas program. I played the piano for it. We did a couple of songs I haven’t played much before – “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” and “Here we come A-Wassailing”. Both of them have some chromatic parts in them, so they were a little tricky, but it all ended up ok. The kids did a great job reading and singing. It was wonderful to watch!

I spent some time relaxing during the day. After all, it is officially Christmas Vacation. Yay!

In the evening, I went out to get some food. There are a lot of places here that call themselves Hawaiian restaurants. Last night I finally went to one. It was amazing…. they had all the regular plate lunch items like in Hawaii. I got teriyaki chicken. It was just like something I would get at a hole-in-the-wall or a food truck on Maui.

I heard the bell on Christmas Day, the old something something carols play, blah blah blah blah blah, peace on earth – goodwill to men. Was it that? Was Bing Crosby singing?

That meal looks amazing! I would gobble it up in a heartbeat!

Lloyd is sick and is staying home today, so bad birthday/good birthday?

    Happy Monday!
