Food and a Foot Problem

Yesterday was my last day in Seward. After a relaxing morning, I went to pick Lloyd up from a doctor appointment and we had lunch:

On my way out the door to pick up Lloyd, I rolled my ankle. It hurt bad enough I fell on the ground. Thankfully, when I looked at my foot, it was still attached to my leg. I’m mostly just worried about Permanent Damage, but it seems like a garden variety ankle twist. I iced it and took some ibuprofen. It hurts a little still, but I’ll take it easy after today.

For dinner, we all met at Harold and Beth’s. She made roast beef and mashed potatoes. Mmm… it was so good… I didn’t take a picture because I was so focused on eating. Fortunately, Beth took a picture of her plate:

I fly back to LA today. Here is my itinerary:

United #4878
Depart Lincoln 9:41am
Arrive Denver 10:24am

United #403
Depart Denver 1:40pm
Arrive LA 3:10pm

Ankle sprains are, IMHO, worse than breaks. Do take it easy for a while, and keep the ice on for 20 min/off for 40 until you notice no swelling any more. Hoping any walks through airports today were not too taxing. Feel free to milk this for all the sympathy you can get when you land, too. 😉

Thank you so much for taking care of Lloyd yesterday. You are a true blue friend. Also, I think my stairs might be cursed. First Curt, now you. Perhaps we need to perform some sort of ceremony……….

Safe travels today! As always, today is the worst day of the summer…………
