Prayer Posts

Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer. I remembered doing prayer stations for two different prayer vigil days at Baltimore Lutheran, so I set some of them up at my school.

It was fun! I think the kids got some good out of it. My big learning of the day was how much salt a school full of kids will eat. The answer is: a lot.

Those are wonderful, Brad. I zoomed in to read them and they are inspirational and so well-written. What a blessing for (your well-seasoned) students and staff!

Tower Transfer

A while back, I moved the cat tree out of the living room into the office. It’s so big, it was really dominating the living room But it took up a lot of space in the office too, and Bruno didn’t really like it there.

Now it’s in a new location that he likes. It’s in the mudroom area where his litter box used to be. It’s right next to the back door, so he can sit in it and look out the window and chitter at the birds outside.

He REALLY likes to sit there. I hardly see him on the couch any more.

Cold, Continued

Happy May Day! I’m thinking about my old school in Maui. They will be celebrating Hawaiian Culture Day today, but the big celebration will be this Friday, when all the classes dance their hulas for each other and for their families. I’m sure it will be streaming, if you want to watch it 🙂

I didn’t feel very good yesterday. It was bad timing, because I met with this year’s seventh grade parents to talk about next year’s fundraising and whatnot. It was a good meeting, but it meant coming home late. I was glad to have some time to relax on the couch, then I went to bed.

Cruddy Cold

On Sunday morning I woke up with a sore throat. Dang. It kept going during the course of Sunday. Dang. Yesterday I started coughing. Dang.

Hopefully, this won’t last long. I’m on my last generic DayQuil this morning, so I’ll need to stop at the store to get some more.
