Tray Talk

Yesterday I went to the orthodontist for a checkup on my tooth tray progress. While I was waiting, this was on the screen right in front of me:

It’s all my teeth!

They asked how it was going. I said I could feel my bite changing, which is so interesting. My bottom tooth that’s so crooked is touching the back of my top front teeth now.

I also said that I like to slide the trays back and forth across each other when they’re dry, because they make a squeaking sound. I thought it was only a sound in my head, but I’ve been told it’s audible. Oops.

They gave me my fourth set of trays. As with each time I switch, I can feel the sideways pressure. It’s uncomfortable, but bearable. For this next group of trays, I’m supposed to wear each set for ten days, then switch to the next set. I would never remember, so I told my phone to remind me in ten days to switch.

Wow – your teeth are famous now! Has anyone asked for their/your autograph yet?

That is a truly incredible process – from the trays to the whole-mouth x-ray process. It’s a far cry from the tooth ‘handcuff’ bands for EVERY tooth and small-view x-rays of the past. Very cool.

However, it looks like your movie set dentist office is on fire. 😉

Serene Sunday

I needed some plant therapy yesterday, so I went to my favorite garden center. It was nice.

While I was out, I got some materials for my backyard garden. I worked out there a little. I started a few things, but didn’t finish any of them, so there are no “after” pictures.

I wish I had more time at home. I like working in my garden and doing various house projects.

Strange Store

I did a little window-shopping yesterday morning. I drove past a place I had never seen. The sign said something about “last chance”. I went in to check it out.

There was a whole jumble of stuff on tables, and everything there was $10. Apparently, they bring stuff in on Thursday, and start selling it on Friday for $12. Then it gets progressively cheaper until Wednesday, when everything is $1.

I may check it out some Wednesday…

Pudding and Plants

The last day of Teacher Appreciation week began with an amazing gift: home made rice pudding. Yum!

The note made me chuckle. Do I like rice pudding? YES! And it was delicious.

Several kids brought me plants over the course of the week. They are beautiful and fragrant and glorious. I brought them home so I could enjoy them in the evenings.

Nice Notes

Yesterday for Teacher Appreciation Week, the theme of the day was “write a note to your teacher”. The stupid notes made me cry, dang it.

“Note Day” is my favorite day, for sure.
