Swimming

Yesterday evening I went to a swim meet that Tim was participating in. Deborah’s daughters were there too. It was 30 minutes away in York. They have a beautiful community pool with an awesome snack bar. I had two soft pretzels with cheese. Mmm…

The meet was fun. The kids we were cheering for had varying success, but they all did a great job. I didn’t keep track of who got what, but there were blue ribbons involved.

It was freakishly hot when we first arrived, but by the end of the meet, it was cool and breezy.

Tim's second race. Wait... do you call them races when it's swimming?

Hooray for the swimmers! I’m glad it cooled down for you guys, or that would have been torture. “So hot. Water so close. So hot.”

There is a lovely shallow area that was perfect for wading in, but we couldn’t. I thought it strange that they had a lifeguard there to yell at anyone who dipped his toes in. If they were going to post a lifeguard, why couldn’t we go in the water?

That doesn’t look like swimming to me. More like hovering over the surface f the water.

Thanks to the comment by the catechism owner (it was in the “recent comments” feed when I checked this morning) I have been checking out the bradaptation archives. I am now up to January 1, 2007. It is going to be a very busy day.

Haha! I was up until 1am two nights ago because I was re-living the last months of 2006.

Ruth and I have emailed back and forth, and she wrote more about the house and herself. It was fascinating.

Wow – even if that were not Tim, that’s an amazing shot of someone in suspended animation there over the pool. Now can you rotate that 360 degrees like in the Matrix?
