Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

TV. Dinner.

Another leisurely LA day. It was very restorative. I am watching Star Trek Discovery. I like it better than I expected, but less than I’d like. I feel tense the whole time I watch it. It reminds me of watching Battlestar Galactica (the new one). The good guys are just barely scratching out a survival. Good things happen, but only in the middle of the episode. At the end of each episode, something bad happens, and I feel tense all over again. Maybe I should stop watching it.

There was nothing stressful about dinner last night. Denis made an amazing salmon dinner. It was very tasty. And way too big. I couldn’t eat all of it.

Holy cow – that looks like a plate from a five-star restaurant! Denis, I am impressed!!

We’ve been watching Madam Secretary, and I really like it. It had a lot of good elements – drama, suspense, family stuff, great writing – and almost all of the episodes end on a good note, but not all of them, so it doesn’t feel too saccharine.

We’ve been watching STD now that CBS carries it for free. (What shall we do when the newer episodes aren’t available there any more? Something to worry about later, I guess.) It does have an underlying tension to it, I agree. And I am not particularly fond of the current captain. But, then, I was raised on Shatner, so…

Christmas blessings to you and all whom you hold dear, dear friend. Enjoy the time with family in Nebraska, and safe trip back.
