Fire and Fun

Yesterday was a full day. In the morning, Lauren built a Council Fire. It was her second one of the morning, because she is an early riser right now, and I’m a sleeper-inner.

After that, we went to Lincoln. We had various errands to run. One of our stops was a GIANT liquor store.

Not only was it giant, but it was also funny, because it used to be a Toys-r-us. I used the bathroom while I was there, and laughed at the door:

We stopped at various thrift stores. I was looking for piano music I could use in church. I did find a little, but the most interesting thing I saw was this:

Ha! An exhaustive concordance! I used to use this very one in my Religion classes all the time. Now online Bible searches have made this an anachronism.

We got some groceries while we were in Lincoln. Lloyd and Lauren bought cherries. A LOT of cherries. The store was selling them in large boxes. This unit of measurement was called a lug. A lug of cherries.

In the evening, we went to Sam and Rachel’s for dinner. It was delicious and fun. After dinner, Sam lit a fire using his propane blowtorch. Ha!

And there was another beautiful sunset. I haven’t seen a bad one yet.
