Loud and Quiet

Yesterday started with a service of lessons and carols. I had a lot of trouble keeping it together while I was singing. Firstly, I love Christmas carols. The words are awesome. Secondly, I was up in the balcony, so the organ was loud and I could sing as loud as I wanted. Thirdly, the woman in front of me was enjoying the carols at least as much as I was, because she was practically dancing whenever we sang them. It was all so fun! It’s what I imagine heaven will be like. Except there my voice won’t break when I start crying because of all the joy.

After church, some of the family gathered at Mom’s house. We had steak! Nebraska steak! Yum! It was so tender and flavorful.

After we ate, it was hard to stay awake. I think I was the first to sleep, but others soon joined me. ahhhhh…. food nap….

The rest of the afternoon was hangout time and chat time. We went for a short walk (it’s unseasonably warm). We ate pie. It was great.

I get what you’re saying. I may have attempted the high g at the end of the last song. I’m sure I hit it. 🙂 I can sing anything while standing in front of the organ pipes. 🙂

That looks like the back of Betsy. She’s a very mobile singer.

    What a delightful day!
