We have been having chapel outside this year. We started worshipping outside last year on account of covid, but we continued this year, so we wouldn’t have to tear down the preschool classrooms in the morning, then get them set up again after chapel.
Since we’re outside, we haven’t had access to a projector, so I’ve been generating cardstock orders-of-service. Our liturgy is pretty simple: seasonal opening sentences, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s prayer, and some songs sprinkled in. Seasonal song lyrics are on the back of the sheet.
When the season of the church year changes, the sheet changes. Tomorrow is our first chapel of the Easter season. I got pink paper! So fun!
I think chapel outside sounds so lovely. You’re the envy of Lutheran schools across the nation! With our wind, the sky would be filled with pink kites!
