Sight-seeing and Shopping

It was Sam and family’s last day yesterday. In the morning, we went to Iao Valley. it’s such a nice place to see “jungle Hawaii”, and it has such a nice stream to walk along.

We ran various errands in Kahului after that. They had souvenirs to get and such. At one point, we stopped at a candy store that makes mochi, a local favorite. Mochi is candy made with rice flour. It has a squishy consistency much like bread dough. This particular place fills mochi with different fillings. We got peanut butter and chocolate.

It was such a wonderful visit. They were good sports when we had to clean my condo and vacate for showings and open houses.

Yay for the Sommerers helping to sell your place! I’m glad they got to stay with you while you were still there. 🙂

Mochi is something I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to try. I’ve heard about it before, but chewy like bread dough? That activates some sensory issues……
