I started packing my house yesterday. My shipping container comes on Friday, so I have to be done by then. I figure if I do a little bit each day, I should be fine.
Actually, today’s work was a big chunk. It was the closet by the kitchen. That’s been my main storage area all this time. Fortunately, much of the stuff in that closet was already in boxes. Boxes that I packed in Baltimore and never unpacked. They aren’t things I can readily get rid of though… childhood toys, memory books, family heirlooms… So it’s all going back across the Pacific Ocean again.
The other two big jobs are the closet off my bedroom, and the kitchen. If I get to those next, I should be in great shape for Friday.
Wow. This is really happening. It’s weird, but also exciting!
