There are so many piles of stuff around my house. Most of them I can’t do anything about because everything is sequential: I can’t move a certain pile of stuff until I have a cabinet for it; I can’t get a cabinet until I’ve painted the walls; I can’t paint the walls until I’ve done the re-piping; I can’t do the re-piping until I’ve spoken on the phone with a stranger and a tradesman – either of one which are enough to make me tongue-tied, let alone both at once…
So the pile of tools and stuff between my stove and refrigerator just sits there, and my kitchen looks junky, and I get tired just looking at it.
That would be very annoying, yes. It’s fascinating looking at your stuff, though – like a real-world ‘I Spy’ picture! I spy a cool yellow-handled cardboard-cutting knife!
Ha! Yes, you would know what that is, since I got it from you 😉
I’ve been using it a lot as I unpack boxes. Its great for cutting cardboard, but also for cutting packing tape.
Get a home depot bucket!, and put all your “in progress” tools in and then you can move it to a working location or set it aside until you need it! We always have a “tool” bucket going when we do stuff. You’re welcome.
