First of all, I have to say Happy Belated Birthday to Lauren. I don’t know how it slipped my mind. I always remember the December Birthdays, because they’re all back-to-back. In fact, today is my mom’s birthday! Yay! Happy Birthday, Mom! And sorry for spacing out on yours, Lauren. We even talked on the phone and I didn’t say Happy Birthday. Stupid Brad!
I wanted to go out shopping yesterday, just to experience the craziness and fun of the last weekend before Christmas. It was indeed crazy and fun. One of my stops was Home Depot, where I walked around the garden center. It’s not as warm here as it is in Hawaii, but it’s still warm enough for plants in the winter. But they’re cool weather plants. It’s a whole new category of gardening for me to explore! Awesome!
Things that had me particularly excited yesterday – cyclamens and poppies
Later, I went to the mall. I saw a movie about Santa beating up bad guys. I wasn’t sure how to respond, but it was ridiculous and fun, so I’m calling it good.
The mall was crowded and festive. I enjoyed walking around there.
Poppies! You can make poppyseed muffins and …opioids? Do I have that right?
No worries about yesterday – I kept the day pretty quiet. It was awesome talking to you – we haven’t done that in forever! 😀
