Today is my first teacher meeting before school. The kids don’t come back until September, but I’ll be going to school probably every day now until the kids come.
When I got back from Nebraska, I made a list of things I wanted to do before school started. I made surprisingly good progress.
Yesterday I finished the big one – painting the living room. It was dark by the time the paint dried, so I couldn’t do a proper “after” picture. I’ll post it tomorrow.
The items I didn’t finish from the list were:
License – I’m still waiting for that documentation from Hawaii.
Will – Lawyers are surprisingly(?) expensive. I’m looking into do-it-yourself kits.
Vet – I was going to establish Bruno as a patient somewhere, but couldn’t decide where.
Dang, you – that is very satisfying! Plus, that is such a straightforward list, not even broken down into little components (like some of us have to do). Impressive!
(We really need to keep each other honest regarding the will thing. I am worried I’m never going to get that done.)

Side fact: if California has Senior Centers, as we do, you might be able to pick up forms for doing your own will/trust/whatever. Wouldn’t hurt to check.
Hope Bruno finds a great vet – it’s an important find, we know. We’ve been with Rosedale Animal Hospital for two owners/4 decades already and love our current”Dr B”. Praying she does not plan to retire while we still have a cat and/or dog…
