I had some issues with my server last night, so I couldn’t write my post. We did our first Advent gathering last night, even though it’s not technically Advent yet. The dates are weird this year – the fourth Sunday of Advent is Christmas Eve.
Anyway, our first Advent Wednesday is “Carols and Cocoa”. We do a hymn-sing, then drink hot chocolate, with lots of add-ins.
I played piano for the hymn-sing. People just shout out numbers, and we sing them. This year, some of the kids got silly and shouted out numbers of hymns that weren’t very well known. Maybe next year we’ll have a predetermined program of carols…
I saw that I couldn’t log on this morning. I hope it’s all fixed now.
