Two exciting developments yesterday:
The first one is that I got the couch upholstery installed. It took a lot of tugging and pulling. I think it shrank a little in all the washing I did. But it’s on. There are actually little variations in the color where the fabric was creased while dyeing. I like it a lot. The couch is a lot easier to sit on now, too. When the protective plastic was still on the cushions they were very slidey. I never figured out what that black thing was. In fact, another one of them fell out of the upholstery as I was shaking it out. I will save them for now. Maybe the Amsterdam Albino will have some advice for me.
Here is the couch shown with Ned (for scale)
My second exciting development was… Asparagus! I had enough to harvest!
In your face, Beth! π
I cooked it in some foil with a little butter and lemon on the grill. It rocked! I also grilled some sweet onions. They tasted good, but I didn’t cook them long enough. The tilapia I also cooked was good, but I should have used some sort of grating or foil or something, because too much of it was lost between the spaces of the grill.
Yesterday’s Lenten Chore: Clear the dye out of the washing machine.
(I think this may take a while.)
Yummy, just get some white marshmallow sized pillows and a graham cracker table and POOF! You have s’mores!
I don’t think Ned is very impressed, though.
You really had a Good Friday, didn’t you?
(clever girl!)
I still had MORE.
Ah yes – very productive and exciting day for you! Did you visit the shut-ins though like you were supposed to? I’m curious to see how that went. I expect to see that listed as your lenten chore tomorrow buster!
I thought you were afraid of old people & generally aren’t shut-ins … well … old. I’d like to hear the story on that one too.
Is Ned basking in front of a space heater?
Two things: Ned’s ears really are freakishly large for his head. He looks like a bat.
Second: How’d you make a mean face?
Those darker spots in the creases almost give it a leather look – nifty!
Well done old bean! Have you decided on the wall & accent colors yet? Kim may have a point with the candy theme. You could get a choc. fondue fountain for the coffee table & buy a 4 foot tall choc. bunny from Log Cabin and make it into a lamp, while at the same time you’d be paying homage to your beloved friends, bunny rabbits!
(PS My once thought dead bulb has a 3 inch shoot! π )
If you’re going with a sweets theme, you have a nice mint-chocolate-chip ice-cream thing going on…
