Thirty-Three and a Third

Yesterday Beth marked her third-of-a-century mark with a party. Actually, we surprised her. It was fun. I think I most enjoyed hearing her explain it to some of the attendees. Some people were having trouble understanding the concept. “Do you always celebrate a third of a year?” Hehe. The next landmark is 35, Beth. Then you can be president!

People brought funny thirds of things as gifts. The Baltimore contingent was well represented. Sorry for the crazy eyes in this picture, Beth, but it had to be posted. (Would it help if we told everybody you don’t get much sleep at night?)

Thanks, Michele!

My mom prepared a special shirt for the occasion. Maybe we should make these available for purchase. We could start a whole new tradition. We could say it’s uniquely American. Celebrate your Thirty-Three and a Third! God bless America!

A proud American tradition.

Your mom was smart to phrase the shirt that way. If it said, “Kiss me – I’m 33 1/3”, she couldn’t wear it today. Isn’t she 33.334 today?

It’s just 1/3 of each word of the comment … The first word was “Wow” … I have to think about the rest … or you could figure it out ?!?

Wow, that was one heck of a party!

And the second line is: Matches may fall timer ahead. (I’m great at word puzzles!)
