In Like a Lion

I had a lot of grading to do this weekend. After our marathon conference day on Friday, followed immediately by a dinner with people from church, I did not feel like getting up early on Saturday to do any work. Instead, I got up at my school-day time on Sunday, got dressed in my church clothes, and went to school.

I got a good amount of work done. Morning is my best work time. I gathered what remained of my work and took it with me as I headed for church. I could easily finish the little bit that remained.

The desks are still wonky from conferences.

So of course since I got school work done over the weekend we’re having a freaky snowfall that closed school today. At least I brought my work home this time. Though I didn’t quite believe them, I did hear the weather reports. I guess what they say about March is true.

Hey now – March is innocent until proven guilty. Don’t believe everything you hear.

Way to go with the grading!

    “March, the other white meat”?

Praise the Lord and pass the 1040s!

–she who needed the snow day to get her tax papers in order for the accountant…as if she has anything to ‘account” in the first place!

(I too went in to grade yesterday afternoon – then purposely left anything else I might have done at school “knowing” I’d be indoors watching the raging blizzard today….well, those flakes are pretty doggone big about now, you know!)

–PS you sure the term “wonky” might not be better applied to some of our parents?

Celebrate with me – the tax papers are all done except for the typed (read “legible”) copy of the deductions for the accountant. Yee haw! An exciting evening of stitching and TV now awaits….and the mail just came and there’s something from my stitching supplier I’d apparently forgotten I’d ordered. It doesn’t get better than this…well, another day off tomorrow would be better than this, but it ain’t happenin’.

Baltimore County already called a two-hour delay for tomorrow!! I guess this whole week will be nothing but crazy schedules. Don’t forget to wear your PJs to school tomorrow 🙂

“March, if you built it he will come.”

    Behold the power of March“?

(And stop doing your taxes & waxing the kitchen floor & painting your living room & repotting all your plants….put your feet up and enjoy the day!)

But he has to get all that done before I visit – and what if you don’t haven another snow day in March?? 😀

    You guys are kidding, right?

It’s the title of the post.
