Beth II: The Search for Spock

Beth is here again! She’s making her second visit to the student teachers. This time, she arrived on a Thursday and is leaving early Sunday morning. Ehhxcellent.

After picking her up from the airport, we came home and had some Zorba’s pizza. Mmmm… Zorba’s…. gggghhhhhaaa (that’s a drooling noise) While we ate, we watched Survivor. I’ve never watched a whole episode. I think I finally understand the basics of how the show works.

Denis made his world-famous avocado shakes. Beth liked it, but it was a little strange, so she didn’t have a full glass. I used to be like that, but I’ve become acclimated, so I slammed mine as usual.

Tara sent some artwork. I got a very nice tempera painting. Max got a watercolor. He liked it:

He liked how it crinkled when he jumped on it.

Oh, and we didn’t actually search for Spock. But we did search for caramel ice cream topping so Beth could make her home-made frappuccino this morning.

Survivor was not a disappointment this week! I love a good back-stabbing!

  2. Lauren says:

Mmmmm…. a caramel-y buzz to start your day – perfect!

It’s good to see that Max can still appreciate fine art. Or maybe he’s trying to make sure that it’s authentic and hasn’t been switched with a fake? (Was that Thomas Crowne Affair?)

  3. Lloyd says:

I think Max would look good with a little water coloring himself. Why don’t you break out those water colors again and give Max a good going over?

  4. Jill says:

I’m so glad you watched last night, Beth!! I was freaking out. Woo hoo to a blindside I actually WANTED to see!!

  5. Curt says:

Has Max slimmed down? Have you been taking him to the gym with you?

  6. Peggy says:

Beth, you gotta get a milk shake from Chick-Fil-A or Red Robin…they are the best (besides Denis’). Or a snowball with crushed ice & marshmallow…or a dozen crabs, if I promise you beer & raw cookie dough for dessert, will you go for the crabs?

  7. Curt says:

Beth II. Hmmm…Didn’t a horror movie have the same name?
