Dough in a Tube

God bless dough in a tube. The last couple of nights, I’ve had a pretty strong appetite, but was afraid to eat much of anything because of my stomach. I got a roasted chicken from Big Bad Wolf barbeque place across the street on Monday. It was delicious and didn’t upset my stomach. Yesterday afternoon I came home and ate some Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. I had handbell practice, so I went back out again. But when I came home, I wanted something more to eat. Pillsbury Crescent Rolls were just the ticket.

I’ve had many incarnations of dough in a tube: biscuits, french bread, cinnamon rolls… But I think my favorite is crescent rolls. They’re just so dang good. And they didn’t upset my stomach. I wonder if that’s a good excuse for having them every night? Hmmm…

What are these made of? Magic?

… every night until your stomach gets squishy! 🙂
You don’t want to end up looking like the little guy on the package, do you?

You said it – crescent rolls rock! Lloyd always picks up a couple of them at Wal*Mart on grocery day. The night I made Improvisation I put cooked ground beef and veggies in the middle of each triangle and pinched it shut around the filling. They were like white trash samosas. Mmmmmm….. tube bread……

They are so good, and so good for me. I wonder if you could bake them in more interesting configurations?

      How about unrolled.

      Or in a ball.
