Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Summer Shoes

My teacher shoes this year were Dr. Martens brand. I ended up having to order them online because I couldn’t find them in a store anywhere. That put me on their email list, so every once in a while I get sale notices. The most recent offer was a sale on all sandals. I saw some flip-flop type shoes that I liked, so I ordered them, and voila! I have my summer shoes for 2009.

I haven’t worn flip-flop shoes since 2007, so I’m afraid my toes are really going to take a beating over the course of the next few days. My feet will also have to get used to seeing the sun. Burned feet-tops are unpleasant.

It feels good to be posting a picture of my feet again.

I like that you have the floorboards on the diagonal – it really adds a lot of drama to the photo!

I’ve read that when you do diagonals, slanting up and to the right makes people have a more positive reaction to the photo. I often pay attention to that (see yesterday’s post), but not this time.

        Unless you’re an Israelite.

Get it? Hebrew is written from right to left, so the rule would be… Oh nevermind.

        • Lauren

I get it now. Sometimes I’m slow.

Your feet are not nearly as beautiful as your sister’s!!!

Sorry, Beth, I couldn’t resist, but I know you will approve!!!!

    Love,
    Aunt Bev 🙂

Once he paints his toenails, it could be a draw!

      • Beth

Never. Mine will always win. 😀

    Nice…but are they comfortable?

    • Beth

They look comfortable, but are they heavy? Because Docs have always been so heavy…

      • Michele

Not heavy – I tried them on. 🙂

Poor Brad had two new blisters/sores on top of his feet by the end of the day.

Hey Brad – maybe as part of our campus beautification tomorrow we can paint your toenails!
