Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

First Sushi

This has been a week of fun lunches. Since we are having meetings at school this week, we’ve had hour-long lunch breaks. In some cases, lunch has been even longer. It’s been great fun. We’ve had a potluck and we’ve been treated by the PTL. Yesterday I went to my favorite sushi restaurant, and Peggy came along. She had never eaten sushi, so it was yet another fun lunch.

I ordered edamame because I like it so much. I figured Peggy would like it too because it’s salty. Unfortunately the beans came out less salty than usual. They were still good though. Peggy got teryaki chicken and liked it. I got my usual salmon sushi. Peggy actually tried a small piece of salmon. She ate raw fish! She thought she could maybe eat a whole piece next time.

When the bill came, they also brought us two pieces of milk candy. Mmm… milk candy…

This isn't the actual piece Peggy ate. Her piece was the size of a thumbtack head.

You love of raw fish should come in handy if your stove should ever die on you. I wonder if that’s how sushi got started…..

I was actually thinking perhaps Brad is really, say, a whale or dolphin or other natural raw fish eater…good job on the human appendanges there, sir!

THe only time I had sushi was with Brad too. The Sushi was nice, but left a bad sensation in my mouth.

I can’t believe I ate it! The sushi was cut very, very thin…otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to try it. And I would be willing to try it again.

BTW: I’m not a man, Sue.

      I’m impressed!

A long time ago, I supposedly tried sushi. They told me it was actually fake sushi. How can it be fake? Either it is or isn’t, right?

If it’s KRAB instead of crab. Or if it’s cooked meat instead of uncooked. Or if it has no meat at all.
