Yesterday Beth had a garage sale. I was there to witness the last one she held, and it was pretty fun, so I sat in on this one too.
This time I didn’t have any official responsibilities. My mom was there, and so was Tammy, Beth’s sister-in-law. They had everything under control. I was just there for my good looks.
What was most notable about yesterday was that it was so hot… so, so hot… I couldn’t believe how hot it was. We kept saying stuff like: “Oh, that’s a nice breeze.” But seriously, it was really, really hot.
The sale was very successful. I was glad for Beth. But I was also glad when it was over. I went into the air conditioning and ate crushed ice and cooled down.
Tara and Tim were there sporadically during the day. In the morning before it got really hot, they went to the garden to pick cucumbers.
Cucumbers come with their own shopping bags now?! Who knew? Oh…that’s Tim and Tara…my, they’re growing fast! Must be that great Nebraska fertilizer.
…and I am secretly happy to read that after flying all that way west you did not escape the heat of Bawlmer. Mwahaha!
P.S. Glad Nebraska was buying at garage sales in the heat yesterday. BIL in Hagerstown had one too – only moved $3.00 worth of stuff by 1 p.m.
Yeah, it was shockingly hot and humid yesterday. We brought McDonald’s to the sales crew and when I crumpled the paper bag, it was soft and soggy already.
Hehe…nice title!
I love the little farmers & their buckets! Great pic. And I’m glad they each found a cucumber so this didn’t have to happen at your house.
