Healthy Treat

Happy Birthday to me! Yay! I LOVE birthdays! I’m 41 this year. That’s a prime number. I’m in my prime!

Lately I’ve been extra hungry at lunch time. I don’t think ahead enough to bring some kind of healthy snack from the grocery store, so I’m left to scrounge around for something at school. The machines in the cafeteria are full of delicious things, but I have to walk all the way over there to get them, and if it’s cold outside that’s a real bummer.

Then I discovered the box of hot cocoa powder my secret Santa gave me at Christmas time. Desperate for something to eat, I tore a pouch open and ate it. It was awesome! I used a spoon. I found I could chew on the powder or suck on it or swish it in my mouth with some water or coffee. Mmmm…

Yesterday after opening the last pouch in the box, I looked at the nutritional information. Each pouch is only 120 calories. That’s about half of what a candy bar has. That’s downright healthy! Good for me!

The tiny marshmallows were an added bonus.

Ha! I laughed out loud! Happy birthday, you weirdo! You are kind of guy who could totally survive in a car if you had an accident. “I had to live in my truck for three days but I found some old ketchup packets, and they were delicious!

Lloyd actually ordered something for you, but there’s a hang-up at the company. We should have sent you a vending machine for your birthday.

[I happen to know someone brought you DONUTS this morning so I don’t feel too badly about your scrounging for snacks. Don’t forget all those bottles of squeezy mustard in the MS lounge refrig when you get “survivor” desperate – I’m just sayin’…]
