Vanity?

A couple of weeks ago, I was at Arundel Mills Mall in one of the fancy departments store outlets. I happened to walk past their cologne/cosmetics area, and what did I see? My discontinued Clinique face lotion! Plus, it was deeply discounted! Woo hoo! I bought two. This morning, my tube of Zirh lotion was out, so I opened one of the new old Clinique tubes.

And then I got to thinking: Over time, I think my reason for using face lotion has changed. At first it was about me keeping the shine off of my forehead. But somehow it has now become about having nicer-looking face skin. The Clinique stuff is “oil control hydrator” – that is to say, lotion. The Zirh stuff is “vitamin enriched serum” – that is to say, anti-aging cream. Interesting…

And that led me to another question… When you use products like this, does it improve your skin only while you use it, or does it also have some sort of lasting effect? Or does it in reality have no effect at all and people like me are just suckers who are wasting our money? I’m convinced a lot of how you age has to do with genetics, but I think there is at least a temporary effect from using this stuff. After all, when I changed brands, I could see/feel the difference. Interesting…

The Zirh is on the top. It sparkles.

I’ve wondered this same thing before. I wonder if there is a magic ‘deep crevice remover’ for my forehead that’s not Botox. With your interest in this matter, you seem like an excellent candidate for using one kind of lotion on one side of your face and a different kind on the other. (Except that your one kind is out now. Rats.)

    Nice fingerprint, BTW.

I’ve often wondered why our faces get old looking period, considering our skin cells our constantly reproducing.

It’s funny that you should be concerned with this Brad. You are in a win-win situation. If you look younger….YAY! If you age….you look distinguished….YAY!

I’m with Lauren. Some kind of experiment is in order here.

    Hello Brad/All…

It’s been too long! ( I miss you) we are LONG over due our phone chat. Let’s make this happen sooner than later! xo

As to your question, it is good to change products out every 7 years. This is what my facialist and demro both agree upon. 🙂
