Three Things

Happy Friday the Thirteenth!

When deciding what to post about here at Bradaptation, I often have to leave out certain things that happen. I choose the most interesting thing, or I choose the thing that is different from what I posted about last time, or I choose the thing I have the best picture of. Today I choose not to decide. Here are three posts in one!

THING ONE:
My mom stumbled across some old shoes of mine yesterday. She thought it would be fun to show them to me.
Awww... Aren't they cute?

They're a bit too small for me now.

THING TWO:
I went out for dinner with my parents and Aunt Gloria. We went to the country club. I had my first Nebraska steak of the summer. I ordered it medium rare, as per my previous post. It was good. Very good. I shall be eating more medium rare henceforth.
It was too much food. I couldn't eat it all.

THING THREE:
Last night, Lloyd and I were hanging out with the kittens. I haven’t posted about it, but Lloyd and Lauren’s cat had kittens. They are very cute. Lloyd had his phone out, and one of the kittens (who he calls Sarge) poked at it with his nose and ended up calling me. I was kitten-called! Ha!
Ring! Ring! Meow.

Now we shall expect multiple posts each day – you have spoiled us! For now, a few thoughts, though:
    1. Doesn’t everyone make bronze bookends out of their baby walking shoes? Mine are holding up DVDs on a bookshelf in our spare bedroom/craft room. Likewise, my big toes would be cramped in them nowadays, so I’m glad they were put to better use many years back.
    2. Yea, I could tell that slice of pickle would put you over the edge on the steak dinner. Did you ask for a doggie bag then? Shame to waste good Nebraska pickle…
    3. Now I’ve heard of “cat calls”, but a “kitten call”? That’s a new one. What a cutie; hardly looks the military type to me. Any chance of importing one to Baltimore when you fly back? Nah – on second thought, the way the airlines are going you’d doubtless have to buy another ticket for it to have its own seat; there are plenty of homeless (and fur-bearing) felines here already, I am sure. Plus, you wouldn’t want Max to fall into a jealous stupor over having a new baby brother or sister, would you?
    4. …and exactly when would we expect your return, sir? The weeds are starting to pop up on the huge unplanted brick-walled garden; I need to go rake the topsoil some day soon unless we get some plantin’ done there…..no pressure…..

I come back on the 21st – one week from tomorrow. I haven’t done any gardening while here. I don’t know why. I’ve been busy or something. I am so looking forward to helping with your raised bed. A blank slate! So exciting!

Yippee!! Counting down the days now…

Awwww, those shoes are so cute! They look like standard- issue baby shoes from our day. I had some just like those. Now kids have little Nikes or Prada – so spoiled.

I had no idea my cats were so talented! I’m going to have a telemarketing gold mine soon!
