Passion Play

For chapel yesterday, the fifth graders did a Passion play. It was really good! The boy who played Jesus memorized so many lines. He also did a good job with delivery. The other kids did well too. They spoke clearly and faced the audience while speaking. Their teachers must’ve done a great job coaching them. Good job, kids! Good job, teachers!

To add to the experience, the third graders sang hymn verses at certain times in the play. They also did a wonderful job. One boy in particular was a strong singer. It was fun to hear him sing with so much gusto.

I admit it - I got a little teary.

Good grief, I got a little teary just looking at that photo. What a blessing to hear young children tell the story!

How ambitious! Bravo, everyone. 🙂 Now only one question remains: will this tradition continue every ten years so as to prevent the plague from wiping out the town? (Oh, yea….that’s already been done elsewhere, hasn’t it?) Blessed Maundy Thursday, Bradaptationland!

Wow….I’m so touched. I’ve never seen students this young do The Passion Play. That picture you took really captures how serious & heartfelt the student playing Jesus was. Young faith is so inspiring & tear producing as well.
