Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Brad Convention

I went to a veterinary conference yesterday. I and five co-workers went to Annapolis to talk about improving customer service. It was a very encouraging experience. The presenter had a lot of good ideas. We all took notes, and will be putting our heads together tomorrow to decide which two or three things we will implement at work.

A very exciting thing from yesterday was that when I got my name tag off the table, I noticed there was another Brad at the conference. I rarely ever meet other people named Brad. According to THIS website, there were over 600 million babies named Brad in 1970. You’d think I’d meet more Brads, but it hardly ever happens.

At lunchtime, I introduced myself to him. “You’re the other Brad!” I said. He was appropriately excited about it.

How interesting! I think sitting in on a veterinarian’s conference would be quite fascinating. I like our vet’s office a lot, but it’s a small town and when I’m there there are never more than three customers – usually just one.

I see beverages. Did they have snacks?

I’m glad it was an encouraging conference! That’s always nice!

And thanks for the link to the name thing. According to that, the name Peggy has not been issued since 1989. Dang, I have an antique name.

My name peeked in the 1930’s.

I was born in the 1960’s, so I should have been named Tammy.

The name Tammy had it’s peak in the 1960’s – the 60’s weren’t THAT long ago – so I thought – until I saw the commercial about AARP and realized I qualify in 4 years and asked myself if I should feel old – I decided the answer is no!

Ha! Lloyd’s was in the 1900’s!

I am glad the other Brad didn’t as for a restraining order.
