Happy Star Wars Day! May the fourth be with you!
Yesterday, Denis bought a car. He had to find his old car’s title, and it was presumably packed into a box by the fire cleanup people and marked “Misc”. We opened every remaining box in the house looking for the title. We didn’t find it. He’ll have to get a replacement in order to do his trade in.
I did, however, find a box that was filled with the last treasured possessions from my childhood. Among the treasures: action figures! I didn’t empty the whole box out, so I didn’t find Yoda or Darth Vader, and the blasters and light sabers are all safely tucked away in a candy box, but for your viewing pleasure, here are the ones I could easily pull out:
From left to right, it’s C-3PO, Luke, Death Star Switch-Flipper Guy, General Zod from Superman, and Sark from Tron. (I loved Tron!) The vehicles are a snowspeeder and an X-wing starfighter.
And here is Denis’ new car. It’s a 2011 Nissan Murano. It’s cool. It has a lot of bells and whistles.
Oooooo! Aahhhhh! Congratulations, Denis!! (This looks like a CarMax purchase 0 we always enjoyed dealing with them on the buying end not so much on the buying back side…)
Thurman loves his (now 16 year old) Nissan Altima, so I hope Denis has comparable longevity and reliability…though Thurman would never ever ever buy or drive a car that was not white (my blue Forester excluded). Long story.
On a totally unrelated note – this is my first entry from an ASUS Transformer netbook – my combination anniversary-birthday gift from my dear husband. Windows 8 is still growing on me, and I have far from figured out all the bells and whistles here, but it’s sure cool, fun, and portable (weighs around 2 lbs). Almost as much fun as, oh, say, a new car actually…
….. and altho with you.
Denis, that is a good-looking vehicle. Congratulations! If it makes you feel any better, years ago I hid the title to the Honda in the perfect spot. We had just paid off the car and were going away for the weekend and I was worried about it getting stolen. I have never found it.
Brad, YOU STILL HAVE THOSE ACTION FIGURES?!?!?!! Holy cats, I am so jealous!! Those have to be worth a little bit of cash, don’t they? Sooooo jealous.
HHmmmmm….Something Saved AND Something Lost…..I can relate (Most Days To Both) !!!! Blessings On Your Week….Aunt Bev 🙂
I have Darth!
Somewhere. I think.
Great new vehicle Denis! Enjoy the newness!
I have Yoda! I’ll have to ask Denis how he like the Murano. Sadly, I fear the days of my Altima are numbered … had hoped it would get to 200,000 but now I’m not so sure. So I’ve been looking at Nissans (mostly Rogues) and Ford Fusions. Just looking for now, mind you. I still have hope.
but it has to be white …. all the ones I’ve ever owned have been white starting with my 69 Cougar (gosh, I wish I still had that one!) The only time I broke the cycle with a blue one, it caught on fire before the first payment.
