Invisible Bookshelf

As I’ve been trying to decide where to put my aquarium, I’ve been taking a new look at what’s in my living room. There has been a giant empty bookshelf in the corner for almost a year now. It’s weird how stuff can just sit there and slowly become invisible to me. I sit facing the bookshelf almost every day, and yet I never notice it just sitting there looking all empty and stupid.

My problem is that it’s useful, so I’m having trouble getting rid of it. Do I try to find someone who could use it? That’s so much work! Do I throw it away? That’s horribly wasteful! So there it sits. Stupid bookshelf.

Stupid blurry picture.

Stupid blurry picture.

Well, it’s kind of sculptural, so you could leave it and explain that it’s a statement about how society regards paper books in this digital age.

I never notice it just sitting there looking all empty and stupid. Haha…..I laughed out loud. Poor bookcase.

To me the answer is obvious….fall is coming….and you still have your fire pit, right?

Take it to your new classroom, and use it to display art.

That’s a capital idea! I won’t be able to start moving in until next week, but once I do, I’ll look for a spot. It does have shelves too, so if I actually needed to put books on it, I could.
