Pizza, Goonies, and a Dog

Yes, I use the Oxford comma. I think lists look weird without it.

I had another late morning yesterday (this is getting to be a habit!) and then met my dad for lunch. We ate at Godfather’s Pizza, which is always one of my requests when coming to Nebraska because there are no Godfather’s in Baltimore.

After lunch, we did some shopping. I resisted the urge to buy a bunch of movies from the $5 movie bin in Walmart. I may have to go back. I don’t own a copy of “The Goonies”. It was only $5!

In the evening, we went to eat hamburgers and hot dogs on the square again. This was a special occasion: it was Rachel’s birthday! (Rachel of Sam and Rachel) We had a nice little group gather. Good food, good company, and good cake. Mmm… we had birthday cake… The cake had a picture of a dog on it. It looked just like Rachel’s dog!

Aww... so cute...

Aww… so cute…

Just a few small comments or corrections:
    1. I’m pretty sure there are godfathers in Baltimore, Brad – just not the kind you can eat
    2. You can always borrow Thurman’s copy of “The Goonies” when you need your fix.
    3. So the sheet cake was for the human – was the dog invited, though? Did it get a piece brought home to it, at least? Seems some inequity there somewhere…

How did they get Chapin’s face on the cake? Was it an imprint? That’s just mean.

Happy visiting and eating today! Hope your stomach is holding up.

The Oxford comma brings me joy.

    Yay, cake!!

Mmmmmm……..was that frosting the sugary kind? If so, I would love to drag my finger along that decorative edge & gobble it all up.
