It has been raining here for a long time. It isn’t raining constantly, but each day there is some rain, and the sun hasn’t been out for a long time. I do remember seeing it on Sunday, but other than that, it’s been gray and overcast for a couple of weeks.
On the radio yesterday, they said we’re on our way to breaking some records. We’ve had fifteen days where it’s rained at least some. The record for consecutive rainy days is seventeen. We’re almost there! The other record is number of days in May where the high temperature was lower than 60 degrees. I can’t remember the numbers for that, but we’re only a few days from breaking that record too.
I’m not sure if I should cheer for breaking the record, or cheer for warm weather to come back so I can work in the garden. I guess at least this way, the weeds aren’t growing as fast as they would if it were sunny, so at least there’s that.

Bleh. I like rain, but too much is a bit depressing. I’m going to root for breakign the record (because you might as well get something out of this) and then a string of gorgeous, sunny days.
I worry that our eyes will have trouble adjusting once the sun does finally return.
