Serendipity

I needed some materials for a Chrismons craft I want to do today in class. Most notably, I was looking for gold stuff. I was excited to see Staples had gold Sharpie markers on sale for almost half off. Amazing! I got some at the Staples near my school on Sunday. Yesterday, I got more from the Staples near my house. How exciting that the very thing I needed was on sale!

I also went to Michael’s to get some glitter pens or glitter glue or something. I was disappointed to see that the only Elmer’s glitter glue they had was in all colors except gold. I resigned myself to getting some small tubes of glittery paint, when I walked past another section and found big bottles of gold glitter glue. Woo hoo! The very thing I needed!!

On a side note, the shopping center was packed yesterday. I couldn’t believe how full the lot was. I know Christmas is coming, but it was a weekday evening. Are people shopping for Christmas presents on a weekday evening? I guess I can’t really criticize them. I’m not finished with my Christmas shopping yet.

My Christmas shopping this year has not gone well. There are a couple of people who will get their present late.

I’m happy you found your art supplies. Hope that goes well.

It is alright. Get my gift to me when you can.

        Hope you’re good at waiting.

Hooray for a deal! Was it made all the sweeter by the crushing disappointment first?

I haven’t been Christmas shopping at all. The only hustle and bustle I’ve seen is at Wal*Mart, and that’s pretty tame.

Yes, it was sweeter! I think I gasped audibly when I was walking the glittery paint up to the register and spotted the glitter glue on the shelf.
