The days are getting warmer. Today it’s supposed to be in the mid eighties. I’m a little nervous about it because my classroom air conditioning might not work. The thermostat that controls it encountered a head or elbow or something, and the cover broke off. Once the insides were exposed, curious minds could not resist deconstructing it. Anything that was removable was removed. Now the thermostat looks like a bare circuit board. It was still working while the heat was on, but I’m not sure that it will automatically switch to air conditioning.
I’d replace it with a thermostat from Home Depot or something, but I’m not sure if the system requires something fancy. Maybe I should just give it a try. Bottom of the line thermostats are only what… twenty bucks?
Ugh. From your posts lately, I’m guessing that your school doesn’t have a maintenance person? I’m sorry you’re having to do all that, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it just works.
