Pen from the Past

The kids at school all got their yearbooks yesterday. We set aside some time for several of the classes to go out to the playground at the same time so they could sign each other’s books. No one had any pens. It was weird.

I had lots of pens, but they were all gel pens, which smear on the glossy yearbook pages. I went looking for a ballpoint pen under all the junk in my desk drawer. I found one!

It's a Cross pen.

It’s a Cross pen.

I got this pen from a student around twenty years ago. It wrote very smoothly, which surprised me a little. It also surprised me that I had kept it so long without losing it.

Thank you, David! (He's probably 40 by now.)

Wow! It traveled all around with you. I hear that Cross pens are pretty great. Stephannie used to give them as graduation pens, I think.

I love the desk pictures. What does that cup say? “An inconclusive and ….. Christian…..” Wait! Inclusive! It says ‘inclusive’. I just woke up…..
