Happy Friday the Thirteenth!
My friend Chetarra was staying at my place for part of the time I was gone. She was so good to Gus!
She stayed an extra day so we could see each other, and she suggested we take a surfing lesson. I didn’t really want to, but I did anyway. I’m glad I did. It was fun. The instructor did a good job of explaining the details. He also stood behind us and shoved when a wave came, so that we could catch it. I got up on my first try! Woo hoo!
Towards the end of our lesson, a photographer came out and took pictures of all the people having lessons. Even though they were expensive, I bought them. They were fun to look at, and I wanted to share them.
Here are a few of them. I was smiling like a maniac every time I took a turn.
Chetarra did great. I think it was a fun last day for her. She left in the afternoon.
Oh, heavens, those are fantastic pictures! That photographer has a great scheme going. Who could resist?
Is Chetarra wearing a GoPro? That’s brilliant! I’m so glad she had a great last day, and that you got to spend time with your friend. 🙂 Surf’s up!
You look like you’ve been doing that your whole life!
What an awesome experience! You look like a pro!
Hang loose, dude! You’ve got this.
I. Am. Impressed. Nobody drowned, got bonked on the head with a board, or attacked by a shark – plus, you stayed on the board after getting up on the first attempt. All in all, a good day – proud ta’ know ya’, sir!
I think Hawaii is really working for you!! Yes, looks like you’ve surfed for years! What a fun, different thing to do!!! Good for you to go against your initial thought! Hang Ten 7th grade teacher!!! I couldn’t imagine Mr. Pedersen surfing…………
