Josh’s wife Koryna works at a garden place upcountry. When I saw her at church, she told me she works on Wednesdays and I should stop by to say hi. Yesterday was Wednesday, so I stopped by to say hi. Josh and some mainland family members were also stopping by, so it was extra fun.
I went to this garden place almost a year ago. Back then, I really liked the old plants they have. In particular, there is a giant old begonia that has spectacular flower clusters. There was actually a cutting of it for sale this time. I was also mesmerized by a water plant they had. The leaves were arranged in a geometric pattern. So interesting!
But I resisted buying anything. I think I’m going to have my lanai fixed soon, and I don’t want to have any more plants to move. But maybe some day…
Animal shelters have people that volunteer to hang out with the animals. Couldn’t you be that person at a plant store? All of the joy with none of the responsibility. 😉
Good idea Lauren! And good for you, i guess, to resist buying anything? I’m not so strong with the growing, flowering stuff! You can go back…..
