Where to Water

Ack! I forgot to write a post for today!

The portable air conditioner in my bedroom generates a lot of condensed water when I run it. It all runs into a plastic bin, which I must empty each day.

I used to pour it all in the tub, but I found a better use for the water – I give it to my lanai plants. It used to be too much water, but the cucumbers and tomatoes I’m growing are crazy-thirsty. Watering them once a day is just what they need.

    Well, your closed-loop system is coming together nicely. Now you just need to train the plants to grow their roots toward your bedroom, then you’re golden!

    Hmmm…wonder if you couldn’t…
    * drill a hose-diameter hole in the side of that tub near the bottom;
    * run a (a very long?) hose from the hole right out to the lanei;
    * jury rig a lift for the hose so the end is above your head;
    * attach a nozzle that would sprinkle the veggies whenever you wen tout there to turn it on?

    You’re a pretty creative dude – I bet you could do that! Of course, we’ll want pictures…

    Isn’t it great to use something to the end and not just throw it out! Good for you. And yeah, what Carol said! Meanwhile, you should at least get a watering can so your not huffin that bucket thru your house walking really, really slow trying not to get too big of a wave going so you don’t spill it.
