Another Warning Light

So now we see my car curse expressing itself. Even a new car can’t resist the power of my vexation.

I had a light come on in my car a few days ago. It’s an exclamation point inside a U-shaped symbol. It came on a couple of weeks ago and I had to look in the owners manual to see what it meant. I was able to take care of it, and the light turned off. But now it’s back on and it won’t shut off.

Do you know what it is?

It’s a tire pressure warning light. My tires say “don’t fill beyond 45 psi” After checking yesterday, none of my tires are low. They’re all just over 40 psi. Could the light be coming on because there’s too much pressure?

I’m driving to a teacher conference in Pennsylvania today. Hopefully the tires won’t explode. …or maybe that would be cool.

Are you sure that’s not a “someone just farted” warning light or a “someone’s been riding nude” warning light?

I thought it looked like a ‘Your boiling cauldron needs more liquid’ light.

Hello! Not cool! I’m counting on you to get me to that conference and back again in one piece!

I’m just glad to see that your speedometer is at 0. At least you aren’t taking pictures while you’re actually driving…but I fear it’s only a matter of time…

It clearly means, “STOP THE CAR! YOU LEFT THE FUN SECRETARY IN BALTIMORE!”

I just feel that as an older person and your Godmother, I should tell you that the exclamation point inside a “u” is really a picture of the tire if it was cut. The flat bottom indicating that the tire could have too little pressure in them and not too much. Just guessing on that, but you could call your dealership service department for a correct interpretation…….I don’t think that they can bill you for a phone call, but I guess I would ask and hang up quick if they say “yes” and for sure don’t tell them who you are. Maybe they will call Law and Order “Criminal Intent” to trace the call, so you maybe better call from a pay phone!
