Whew! It’s nice to be home again where I have longer than 15 minutes to write something.
The conference was very nice. I enjoyed it immensely. I am also glad that today is a day of meetings at school instead of jumping right back into teaching.
Some of the highlights of the conference:
A lodge-like lobby with a beautiful fireplace. I sat here each morning before everybody else got up.
To add wonderfulness to the already great lobby, it smelled like chocolate all the time! I asked the concierge why. She showed me this:
There were some interesting workshops:
The dining was fun:
We celebrated a milestone birthday for Principal Monique:
And of course we went to Hershey’s Chocolate World. It’s a free chocolate-smelling ride where you learn how chocolate is made. Then you shop in the super-awesome giftshop. I have several pictures from here, but I will share this one. I had Michele pretend to take my picture, but really the target was the group of guys behind me. I’m positive they’re from some band. I’m hoping someone will recognize them. You can tell they’re famous because they’re trying to turn away from the camera. But Michele was too quick for them… she got some face.
I don’t know the band, sorry. Maybe you could run that face-recognition program and see if they come up as themselves!
Was that fan blowing on a chocolate planter? Ha! Mmmmmm…. chocolate planters…..
Welcome home!
Two things, really both are almost completely unrelated to your post…
First, that sweater makes you look very broad and strong. You should wear it often.
Second, did you get Tim some Hershey chocolate covered cherries for Christmas? That’s what he’s expecting…
How very polite….I think I’ve seen their faces on WANTED posters! Band boys–heh!
When are you going to build us a lodge?
