First of all, I have to say: Happy Flag Day in Canada! It must be some kind of serious celebration here in Maryland, because we’re off of school today. We’re also off for President’s Day on Monday, making this a freaky long weekend. I “pricelined” a hotel for the first time ever. I’m going to Times Square tonight! Woo hoo! More about that tomorrow…
On another “Woo hoo!” topic, Beth’s present for me finally came! It was waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home from school. It was in a festive, padded envelope. Before I say what it is, I have to tell the background story.
The background story: When I went to Nebraska this past Christmas, I used a suitcase I had never used before, because it was big and I needed the space. Not being familiar with it, I had some trouble identifying it as it came out on the carousel. I wasn’t sure if it was black or blue, and I wasn’t quite sure just how big it was. I think it even went around once before I identified it.
So Beth’s present for me was two luggage tags! But not just any old luggage tags. They’re photo tags. And they’re AWESOME! Check them out:
Those are super-cool!!! Way to go, Beth! Of course, don’t attach them to a very large suitcase or people might think you packed a little girl inside.

Brad – you could probably use more tags like these. “I wasn’t sure if it was black or blue” reminds me of your inability to recall the color of your lawnmower that time you took it in for repairs!
