Bullroast

Last night was my church’s bullroast event. It was fun. This time I did not make the mistake of filling up with cole slaw or bread or pasta. I ate beef. Lots of beef. I had a few celery sticks, then had more beef. It was beef-a-licious! There was also a raw oyster bar, but I didn’t have any of those.

I played the wheel-of-fortune thingy and won a plant again this year. I don’t know what I’ll do with another plant. My house is full of them already. I think I might have a sickness.

I bought some raffle tickets, but didn’t stay the whole time to see if they won. There was no silent auction this year, so I didn’t have anything keeping me there. I’m a big fan of silent auctions, but raffles don’t do much for me. I never win.

It was a nice evening. Good food, and nice people. And lots of beef.

I sat at the table with the woman in the pink shirt in the middle of the picture.

I also went to an auction last night. I never do the raffle, seems too chancy. But last night I did. I put two tickets in two envelopes and won both. Wow! I’m off to Vegas, Baby!

Why mention where you sat only to give us confusing information? (hold on while I look up middle)

Ok, I see 2 women with pink shirts, neither is in the middle of the picture … nor is either table in the middle. The pink lady on the left is closer to the middle of the picture, but the table on the right is closer to the middle … Sooo … right or left table ?!?!?!

That’s just what I was thinking.

My bet is on the lady in hot pink, with blondish hair…the one who’s head appears to be just under the flowers…

OOOOOOh …. on my computer she’s wearing red.

Thanks for inviting us-sorry we couldn’t attend.

I like your church’s cushy stacking chairs. Much more comfortable than metal folding chairs. Did anyone win a chair?

This doesn’t look like Immanuel’s fellowship hall, Brad – in which exciting venue did y’all hold this gala? And is the selling of the raffle tickets sanctioned by your portion of the SED, LC-MS? ‘Cuz, ya’ know, at BLS we can only have “drawings”, remember…which always puts Pictionary-style images in my head for some reason.

I’m with ya’ on the raw oysters, by the way, and I’m a local. Anything that looks like a glob of phlegm and feels like something that could have come from the nose is not intended for human consumption IMHO.

Glad you had a good time and consumed your RDA Of red meat. Now, back to the Quisp for a while, eh?
