This morning was the second time this week that there was an accident on the beltway that caused a major back up before 6am. It’s an interesting experience for me. I’m used to zooming all the way to work. Monday, and now again yesterday, I had a few times where I was actually sitting still. Fortunately, I have plenty of extra time, so I haven’t gotten anxious or angry.
I do have to say it makes for a more stressful drive though, because being bumper-to-bumper requires a kind of concentration that driving on a clear road does not. Hopefully I won’t have to use that kind of concentration again in the morning for a long time.
Yeesh. I do not envy you one tiny bit. I hate the stop-and-crawl-stop-and-crawl of that. Praying that the rest of your commutes are uneventful!
…. Were you behind a Prius? That guy’s probably just sleeping in the back. If he’s smart, that is.
Do they have HOV lanes in Baltimore? I think we’re getting some in Seward.
No HOV lanes. We do have an express highway that you can pay a toll to use, but it isn’t on my route to or from work.
