My Tennessee sister Debbie sent me a package a couple of weeks ago. She texted me last week to ask if it had arrived. It hadn’t. The tracking number said it was delivered. We were both disappointed, and I was sad that now I was going to have to worry about people stealing packages from my porch.
During the school day yesterday, Denis sent me this picture:
It was the package! It wasn’t stolen! It looks like the address got rubbed off or something. And it finally made its way to my house. Woo hoo!
The stuff inside was so fun! I loved it. She sent some stickers and a really nice note, a plant pot that looks like a coffee cup, a flower tie, and some seeds and cuttings.
Debbie sent moonflower seeds, which I couldn’t decide where to plant yet, and small plantlets from a “Devil’s Spine” plant. It’s also called “Mother of Thousands”, because the leaf edges grow lots and lots of tiny versions of the plant. Debbie sent a bunch, and I planted them in a couple of pots. One is outside, and one is on my kitchen window sill:
Debbie is so awesome!! I googled that plant and it looks kind of evil and poisonous, so I think that makes Debbie extra cool.
(^-^)
Cool pot. Perhaps you ought to put a ti leaf plant in it.
Haha! Great idea!
I realized later in the day that I said the flower pot looked like a coffee cup, not a tea cup. I think more people would probably say tea cup. I do so like coffee though.
Ah, how sweet of you to share on your page! I guess it is a tea cup looking situation but I thought coffee cup too…….like that HUGE one we saw in Seward at that antique place! Remember! SOOOOOOOOooooooooooo glad the box finally found its way. (you almost didn’t get that “coffee cup”, Mark and I really liked it too) ha Tie looks great! It was the only one at the store!!! Meant to be……
