Tax Time

I did my taxes yesterday! They weren’t even due yet! I had a whole extra day. What, am I just a super-organized person now?

In other good news, I got a small refund. I know what you’re supposed to do is owe a little bit, but whenever I’ve done that, I’ve had to find the money to make the payment. A small refund is much better. I don’t have to raid my bank account, and I get a little bit of money back. Perfect!

(they extended the deadline to May 17 . . . you are super early this year)

I heard about that extension quietly on TV but was skeptical of it…not sure dear hubby knows that yet…papers are at the accountant but no word from him yet either…hmmm.

[Good to see you here, Brady – would love to hear more from/about you – you have the email add’y.]

Er, my taxes are not yet done. Thank you for the reminder, and thank you for the reassurance, Brady! Zoinks. I’d better get some paperwork in order.

I am a fan of the refund. Go ahead and keep what you need, government, and I’ll take the bit left over. Totally fine with that.

Our oldest filed taxes for the first time this year. She used Turbo Tax online. So, so easy. My husband couldn’t believe how easy it was. Church worker taxes are a major pain for us.

As a fellow church worker, I was old school paper form guy for many years. About 7 years ago, I switched to Taxact and have been successful with their program.

Even church work taxes are pretty easy with TurboTax. I’ve used it for 20ish years.
