Down the Coast

Yesterday, Denis and I drove to Newport Beach. We took the Pacific Coast Highway. It was beautiful. And popular. There were lots of people at the beaches yesterday.

We drove around a little when we got to Newport Beach, but there didn’t seem to be an area that had little shops to walk around in. We checked the internet, and saw that there was a mall nearby. It was a fancy outdoor mall.

There was even a koi pond there. I loved seeing it. I miss having a pond. Maybe I could set one up at school…

When we ate at the food court, I was excited to see a man that looked like Ernest Hemingway. I had already seen a man who looked like Wong from the Doctor Strange movie, and another man who looked like Joseph Stalin. I was even more excited that I got a picture of the Hemingway lookalike.

There wasn’t much to look at in this shopping center, but there was a candy store. They had caramel apples! Woo hoo! I have been craving those since the Fourth of July. BUT, they also had chocolate covered frozen bananas! I love those even more than caramel apples!

I think it’s sweet that you, the one who lives in the middle of the largest body of water on the planet, desire a little pond. 🙂

What a fun day!! I’m glad that you got to see all the doppelgängers and (whoa. Autocorrect just gave me some umlauts.) had some delicious treats!
