I got some very green bananas two weeks ago. They have taken FOREVER to turn yellow. I tried one too soon, and it made my mouth feel bad – kind of dry and burny. And even now that they have turned, they’re weird and dry and still leave a kind of astringent feeling in my mouth. I don’t think I’ll get such green bananas again.
Huh. Perhaps you have discovered a medicinal quality of underripe bananas? Maybe they could be used to clear up acne? Heal wounds?
