A Family Tradition

Yesterday was the birthday of one of my students. As students often do on their birthday, this student brought cupcakes in for a treat.

They were in a plastic container, so they looked like they were from the grocery store, but they were definitely NOT from the grocery store. They were so good! He said they were caramel cupcakes, and that his mom made them. The frosting was just right, the cake was so delicious, and the bottom of the cupcake was soaked in caramel. Mmm….

They reminded me of the cupcakes a student brought four years ago. That is maybe not so surprising, since that student is this student’s cousin. That family is good at making cupcakes! It should be on their family crest or something.

Ha! This cupcake did not make it to the cupcake museum!
