Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Super Saturday

It was a delightful Last Day in Nebraska yesterday. In the morning, we went to Beaver Crossing to visit the hardware store because it was Kenny and Christy’s last day as owners of the shop. I bought a couple of things that caught my eye, but I also got a free hat!

Later in the day, I stopped at Walmart with my mom. I was astounded to see a purple passion plant there. I’ve been looking for one of these for years. They aren’t fashionable right now, so I think places aren’t selling them. I got one! Woo hoo! We’ll see if I can get it safely back to California.

In the evening, Harold and Beth had their fabulous fondue New Year’s party! What a spread!

We celebrated New Year’s in Nova Scotia time, East Coast Time, and Nebraska Time. Whew! When we were done, Smoky was exhausted:

I fly back to California today

Here is my itinerary:

Depart Lincoln 8:58am
Arrive Denver 9:54am
United #1616
Depart Denver 11:38am
Arrive LA 1:14pm

A fabulous last day, indeed. I am glad to have gone along to Beaver Hardware. That place is a local institution. I’m glad it’s going to stay in their family, but I hope it will keep its touch with Kenny and Christi gone.

As always, I’m mad and sad you are leaving, but we’re all praying you home.
