Flying and Food

My travel yesterday went pretty well. Inspired by Lauren, I ordered tomato juice from the beverage service.

As we were flying over farm country, the center pivot patterns were pretty:

At the Denver airport, I stopped for donuts. I got two because I couldn’t decide which to get. I liked the chocolate best. Yum!

The trip from LA to Denver went well. I slept a little, watched a movie, and held on during the bumpy parts.

How many dogs did you see in the Denver airport?

Gretchen, I didn’t count, but I think I’m going to have to start making this one of my travel stats. It would be fun to have a running count of dogs.

It’s funny, because dogs are becoming so commonplace everywhere – stores, restaurants, airports – I’m starting to not even notice them any more. And what an interesting cultural shift. Even a few years ago, seeing even one dog in a commercial space would be notable, and maybe even scandalous.

Ha! I am glad you enjoyed both of your meals. 😉 I hope the remainder of your day was restful and you were able to recover, and I hope you have a great last day of vacation today!

Donut news to share: I was Sunday days old when I learned that Dunkin makes what appears to be a Boston Cream donut on the outside but with CHOCOLATE filling inside. In case I was not the only one unaware of this amazing fact, know you can get a double chocolate impact by ordering one of those next time.

    That is all.

Glad you got to spend your holiday with family and friends again – God bless your return to the classroom tomorrow, Brad.

–types she who doesn’t need to keep that schedule anymore 😉
